We got Donovan roller blades for his Birthday, he is pretty fast on them already.
Skating in the driveway of course playing hockey.
Mister sports guy I tell ya.
Donovan’s Buddy Mike turned 5 on the 19th.
This was by far the most interesting party we have been to. And all the kids just had a blast.
The instructor explained the basic rules, before the party began.
Basic moves to karate.
Donovan had a boo boo. So the instructor took care of him it was to funny he put a Band-Aid on it and then wrapped it in red tape. The instructor was quite the jokester.
Donovan’s Karate Kick.
Then he got to break a board in half. He thought that was pretty cool. He got really into it.
Games then off for cake and ice cream. He had a lot of fun. A very nice party indeed.
Happy Birthday Donovan. It seemed like yesterday you where born and today you turned 5 can’t believe you are not a baby, not a toddler, but a 5 year old that loves to do things all by himself. You can dress yourself, tie your own shoes, write your name, and many more amazing things. You are growing up way to fast. Love you big guy.
Donovan taking his transformer cookies in to school so happy, and proud.
After school we came home and he opened presents from Mom and Dad. He was so excited.
Then off to Case and Bucks for his choice on his Birthday Dinner. He loves there chicken rings and French fries. And of course chocolate milk.
Donovan being goofy. Look Mom I have a mustache.
And this next picture is the Biggest Chocolate Milk I have ever seen brought to a child.
Then back to the house to open Me maw G and Papa Coach’s presents.
Donovan had a great day and loved all his presents. He was so excited.Happy Birthday Big Guy.And Sunday is his Birthday Party he can’t wait.It will be a lot of fun.
In the picture above is of Rachelle,Colin, and Donovan.
We entered the park and the kids where handed a treasure map. To fill there booty bags. First we had to make the booty bag.Collect the treasures or make them. Very creative to keep them kids busy.
Then off to the next task. Rachelle and Dad got to hold a parrot. Donovan wanted nothing to do with it.They had to collect a feather here for there bags.
Arrrrrh me matte. Shows an entertainment through out.
They had to make a pirate flag next.
And we where pleasantly surprised by Donovan, he wrote his name for the first time in front of us all by his self no help.
Digging for buried treasure. What can we find.
Sword Fighting class with a pirate.
Then off to learning how to use a bow and arrow. First time for both of them. They did a great job on listening and focusing on what they where doing.
Rachelle’s Snack almost bigger than her.She loves her some corn.
Walking to the next booty treasure. Thought this was priceless.
Stamping leather the owner from Tandy leather from a previous post where there. Got to stamp a special cymbal into the leather for there booty bags.
They completed all there task to become pirates. They did a special gift for completing the treasure hunt and joined the pirate crew.
This was a very pleasant different day where they acted the parts of pirates, wenches, and had accents to go with the whole feel of the festival. Music, food, live entertainment, and fun for all ages. What a great event.
To amazing Dad and Donovan went by the bank this afternoon in the drive threw he said daddy look at the sign it say No Envelopes and he was right Pat had not even said a word. When they got home Donovan wanted to use flash cards this evening, so we sat down with him and went through 4 boxes of cards. We came across a card that was a toucan bird, He called it the TUCI TUCI FRUITLOOP. It was the cutest thing. He sat there for over an hour doing colors, some letters, numbers, and animals. He is Just a sponge right now and loves learning new things. Going to have to get him some new flash cards to intrigue his mind .
Rachelle practiced her spelling words and got most of them right, she is doing her first essay this week and is doing a great job on it so far. She loves third grade and her teacher Miss Litty. Also is doing wonderful in Math. She is very excited for tomorrow she is going to Dance class tomorrow night, can’t keep her away for very long.
Both kids are doing very well learning new things each day and the best part is that they come home and share with us what they have learned. Both very smart great personalities and very happy. It is so fun to see them grow each day and to see them discover new things at school.I never new how enjoyable it would be to see them grow in every aspect each and everyday there is always something new they are excited about. I am so grateful for both my children. And love being a Mom to see them discover something new each day. I love the joy on there face when we wake in the morning and the clam relaxing faces they have when they go to sleep. I wish I could freeze the days they are young.
Of we had to have some ice cream tonight. And they were still discovering something new. Look at the faces in deep concentration.
We had a project this weekend that had to be done. Here is the before.
And After.A huge project but it had to be done. The basement looks much better and more functional. It took a lot of work but it is done now.
The kids decided to do something different this morning. It was way to cute to watch.
Eating with chop sticks.
Then we headed up to the pool for the last day of swimming.
We had a really good time. And the weather turned out to be beautiful for us after all.
